Carat
A diamond's size is determined by its carat weight. A carat weighs 200 milligrams. Generally, the larger the carat weight, the more valuable the diamond.
Color
The less color a diamond has, the greater its value. A diamond's color is rated on a scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown).
Clarity
Under the lens, a simple look is made to determine the flawless nature of the diamond. Inclusions (internal) and blemishes (external) govern this grade of quality.
